The inspiration for Freakompare comes from the process of applying EQ while mixing different sound sources. Often two or more sources have imbalance of spectral information in a certain area and some of this must be removed to allow for a cleaner mix. Sometimes it is hard to see these problem frequencies from simply using spectral analysis.

The design of this plug-in allows the user to scan through the whole frequency range and compare the relative volumes of two different sound sources at these frequencies. When used in combination with EQ's the user can pinpoint and remedy frequencies which are competing with each other.
