The purpose of the Anechoic Microphone is to re-imagine the ability of condenser microphones for use in live sound.

 

As condenser microphones are more fragile and tend to feedback more frequently, they are not used as much as dynamic microphones in the industry.

To reduce the feedback of these microphones the pre-amp circuitry was optimised so that its frequency response would attenuate the more common feedback frequencies for this particular diaphragm, enclosure and in typical live music scenarios.

The pre-amp itself is comprised of a single transistor as well as various notch filters.
